Dance Mogul:<\/strong> You’re in your season of manifestations, tell us a little bit about the journey to get you to this point?
\nMeagan:<\/strong> I was born and raised in Dallas Texas, dancing was my whole life and after I completed high school I went to LA to pursue my dreams. I graduated from the California Institute of the Arts. The grind was so real then, back when you actually had to interact with people, ask for help and take real classes, i.e before social media. You had to take the classes that built up a foundation and it would behoove you to take specific classes from certain people if you really wanted true knowledge of foundation and growth. I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work with LaurieAnn Gibson, who took me under her wing and mentored me. Since my first job, I had the thought to plant what I call \u201cnetwork seeds\u201d. With doing so, those seeds helped lead me to incredible opportunities such as working on The Four On Fox.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> What was your experience like working on The FOUR?
\nMeagan:<\/strong> That was one of the best learning experiences of my life. It really prepped me for my journey of owning my own artist development business. I was given many tasks such as delegating and balancing, choreography, rehearsal schedules, wardrobe fittings, tech runs with production and crew. All of those tasks require you to wear different hats and have different approaches. You have to have many switches that you can turn on and off and realize when there is a time to build up a new talent and then there is a time to help an already existing artist continue to find and brand themselves to the star they truly are.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> You’ve just debuted your new artist development business, tell us about your purpose?
\nMeagan:<\/strong> NU Entertainment is for those that want to put in the work. We have to get back to letting dream chasers know there is a process to accomplishment and that process is the best part… it shouldn’t be skipped. What I want to do is show them how to build a staircase stone by stone that keeps getting higher, and even if they trip and fall they still are falling back on their own foundation and work ethic, so it would only be a matter of picking yourself back up and getting right back at it. I look forward to doing that with my amazing team of choreographers and creative directors.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> You recently had the opportunity to work on JLO’s latest project “Medicine”, what was that like?
\nMeagan:<\/strong> This was my first time working with Jlo and Nappy Tabs (Jlo\u2019s Creative Directors) It was a very quick turnaround but she knew what she wanted and I had the pleasure of executing brilliantly. JLO was happy and it came out great. I was grateful to be a part of that particular magic.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> What’s the best piece of advice you can give a young dancer at this moment in time?
\nMeagan:<\/strong> Never give up and always know FOUNDATION IS KEY!<\/p>\n
