\"ros\"<\/a>Dance Mogul Magazine<\/strong><\/em> is honored to present Rosero McCoy, a\u00a0versatile\u00a0talent in today’s growing dance industry. It is important that we\u00a0continue\u00a0to celebrate each other and our accomplishments and not wait for the mainstream media to do it. Time goes by way to fast and people’s attention spans are very short these days, so it’s up to us regular people in society to prop up success and by that, we\u00a0don’t\u00a0mean prop up people with money. Prop up individuals that are making a positive contribution to others in any field and we feel Mr. McCoy is an\u00a0individual\u00a0who is on that path.<\/p>\n

Rosero McCoy\u00a0is one of the most established and well-rounded Choreographers in the Entertainment Industry. \u00a0Some of Rosero\u2019s choreography film credits include Rags, Rio, Honey 2, Camp Rock 2, Alvin and the Chipmunks 1 & 2,\u00a0Step Up, Beauty Shop, Vanilla Sky and Garfield 1 & 2.\u00a0\u00a0His choreography can also be seen on hit TV Series\u2019 Austin & Ally, Shake It Up, MTV\u2019s America\u2019s Best Dance Crew and Good Luck Charlie.\u00a0 He is known for his versatility in all styles of dance shown in commercials for Shoe Carnival, Volkswagon, Target, Sprint, and Playtex as well as music videos and stage shows for Usher, N\u2019Sync, Ellen Degeneres, Outkast, and Gloria Estefan.\u00a0 Collaborating with Production to enhance the overall visual quality of any movement oriented project is one of Rosero\u2019s many strengths.\u00a0 Most recently, Rosero had the honor of working with the First Lady, Michelle Obama, on several occasions as a part of her Healthy Living campaign.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span> <\/strong>\u00a0At what age did you develop a passion for the arts?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span> <\/strong>I would have to say around 5 or 6 I would be singing and dancing to Michael Jackson.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0Who were some of your early\u00a0inspirations?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span><\/strong> For dance definitely Michael, Janet as far as other choreographers I really liked Barry lather.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0Were your parents supportive of your passion for dance?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span> <\/strong>Not really. I think they just\u00a0didn’t\u00a0understand it.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0When did you know that you could become a professional?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span><\/strong> When I was out at the clubs freestyling and people would watch me and be in awe. A lot of times they thought I was on something lol. But I\u00a0wasn’t\u00a0I just loved the freedom that dance afforded me.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span> <\/strong>\u00a0Do you feel industry artist value their dancers?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span> <\/strong>Some do and some don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span> <\/strong>\u00a0You have had\u00a0numerous\u00a0opportunities and accomplishments, what have been some of your most memorable?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span><\/strong> Coming up with the idea for dress down choreo in usher video “u make me wanna” I really wanted a Michael moment for usher so in the dance break I had him dance out of his shoes and leave them. I made sure I was the last thing leaving the choreo though I guess my way of leaving a mark lol.<\/p>\n

A) Also giving Toni Braxton her biggest dance video “man enough for me”<\/p>\n

B) Working on abdc<\/p>\n

C) Working on sing off<\/p>\n

D) Working on shake it up, I could go on and on but I don\u2019t want to bore your readers lol<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span> <\/strong>\u00a0Why is it important to give back to\u00a0the\u00a0dance community while still achieving success?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span> <\/strong>This may be a selfish answer but I do it because of my love for dance, and I think that\u2019s what inspires a new generation of dancers seeing that I still love it and I\u2019m a 100 lol.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span> <\/strong>\u00a0What advice would you have for the younger generation of dancers that want to become professionals?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span><\/strong> Be true to who you are as a performer and dancer.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span> <\/strong>\u00a0How do you get the younger generation to understand that the\u00a0discipline\u00a0in dance is the same\u00a0discipline\u00a0that needs to be\u00a0executed\u00a0in an educational setting and how do you teach them to develop a work ethic.
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span><\/strong> I always try to instill in young people the art of observing and watching you can learn so much just by observing and watching, and that\u2019s true in any form of learning. Once\u00a0you’ve\u00a0done that then ask questions and understand.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> <\/span>\u00a0How important is it that dancers try to leave legacies instead of bits and pieces of momentary satisfaction?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span> <\/strong>I think leaving bits and pieces are just as important as legacies it all can be helpful material.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0What are you currently doing now to elevate your craft?
\nRosero McCoy:<\/span><\/strong> I\u2019m always striving to better my self. I’m not just a choreographer or artistic director I\u2019m all around performer. I have an acting agent, commercial agent, I do on-air personality and I host an internet show with “my cuzzin m” so I\u2019m always striving to be the best me that\u2019s all I really know how to do well.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/span> <\/strong>\u00a0Do you feel a publication like Dance Mogul is needed to connect the Professionals with the next generation to help guide them to their goals and aspirations?
