Royalty Crew began back in 2009 and they are the adult team of our academy (Royalty Academy and they have been attempting to qualify for Worlds their entire dance history, their first-ever performance as a crew was at their Nationals back in 2009 we have attempted 7 times since then and have never been given the opportunity to represent their country at worlds. Finally, on the 20th of April 2013, they won at our Sydney qualifiers and now have been given the chance to perform on the world\u2019s stage which has been their BIGGEST dream since they started. They saw YouTube clips of the Philippine All-Stars from 2008 and Sweet and Sour (NZ) 2008 and just wanted to do the same. Since then they have learned and studied all of their favorite crews and dancers that they aspire to be like. Also, they started an academy called Royalty Academy and they now train 3 other crews one of which has also qualified to compete in the Varsity division in Las Vegas in August they are the Royal Knights. This will be their 2nd time competing at Worlds as they also won their division last year. dance Mogul Magazine is glad these young men took the time to chat with us, clearly they know their purpose and are on the right track. Not only nurturing their own dance careers but finding the time to train and help nurture others as well, a prime example of each one teach one.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> At what age did you discover your passion for the arts?
\nRoyalty Crew:<\/strong> We all started dancing at different times in our life<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> Who were some of your early\u00a0inspirations?
\nRoyalty Crew<\/strong>: For all of us in Royalty Crew there are a few other crews such as Sweet n Sour, the Jabbawockeez, Limit Break and of course Michael Jackson<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> Were your parents supportive of your passion for dance?
\nRoyalty Crew<\/strong>: Yes completely\u00a0except\u00a0for one member in Royalty Crew his background is Thai and his mom is\u00a0extremely\u00a0traditional<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> When did you know that you could become a professional?
\nRoyalty Crew:<\/strong> Umm not sure haha when we started performing and getting paid for it.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> How do you fundraise to travel for the states?
\nRoyalty Crew:<\/strong> We are doing anything and everything such as concerts, raffles, yard sales, bake sales and anything else we can think of.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> You have had\u00a0numerous\u00a0opportunities and accomplishments, what have been some of your most memorable?
\nRoyalty Crew:<\/strong> For Royalty Crew, we had the opportunity to be an opening act for some American Artists such as B.O.B, Lloyd, the Bone Thugs
\nAnd Kci and Jojo<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> Tell us how we can better educate the next generation to help preserve the different dance\u00a0genres?
\nRoyalty Crew:<\/strong> Just by making sure they really understand their foundations. Teaching them the history of hip hop many kids these days always think that hip hop started in LA (well they say that in Australia anyways) Know one really knows and understand all hip hop elements etc. The best advice I have been given was to remember that you are always a student in dance and no one can master any style.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> What advice would you have for the younger generation of dancers that want to become professionals?
\nRoyalty Crew:<\/strong> I would say just be patient don\u2019t wait for any opportunity to come to you. Go out and create opportunities to meet lots of people (network). Take lots of classes and train train train. Remember as a dancer you are not just an entertainer but an athlete you must take care of yourself.

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> What is it about HHI that makes you want to come to participate?
\nRoyalty Crew:<\/strong> It\u2019s such a prestigious competition in all of our inspirations in dance has had something to do directly and indirectly with HHI. The thrill of hitting the stage in front of 1000’s of people from all over the world and performing and representing our country its and honor.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> How do you\u00a0want\u00a0your crew to be remembered?
\nRoyalty Crew<\/strong>: We want to be known as the crews that love to have fun but bring it when we hit the stage. We love entertaining\u00a0and breaking the limits of creativity.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> What are you currently doing now to elevate your craft?
\nRoyalty Crew:<\/strong> We have now all gone on special diets making sure our bodies are looked after before we go to the USA. Rehearsing night and day and also taking on acting techniques to improve our performance.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> Do you feel a publication like Dance Mogul is needed to connect the Professionals with the next generation to help guide them to their goals and aspirations?Royalty Crew:<\/strong> Yes, totally I believe the dance scene needs a platform to unite all generations of dancers, the pros these days need to help the next generation grow simply because they are OUR legacy.<\/p>\n

Dance Mogul:<\/strong> Is there anyone you would like to thank for helping you on your journey?
