Hip Hop International has only grown in scope and significance.

In 2012, Dance Mogul Magazine was on the ground at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship Finals, capturing the energy, artistry, and cultural pride that defines this one-of-a-kind event. What we witnessed that year was more than a competition — it was a global gathering of dancers united by a shared love of hip hop culture.

Since then, Hip Hop International has only grown in scope and significance. Founded by Howard and Karen Schwartz, HHI has expanded from its earliest years into a movement now represented in over 55 countries, making it the largest hip hop dance competition in the world.

“Your determination, hard work and perseverance got you to the World Championship and HHI was honored with your performances. Your talent and energy ignited the spirit of competition and inspired the world.” — Hip Hop International

Why It Matters

Hip Hop International represents something much bigger than trophies and medals. It is a testament to the power of hip hop culture to unite communities across borders, languages, and backgrounds. For young dancers in particular, HHI offers a pathway to self-expression, discipline, teamwork, and global connection — values that align directly with the mission of Dance Mogul Magazine.

From that electrifying 2012 finals to the record-breaking 2025 event, Dance Mogul Magazine has been proud to document this journey. We will continue covering HHI’s impact as the 2026 championship approaches.
