The rules for using dancemogul.com — what you may do with our work, and what we promise.

The Short Version

Read the magazine, link to it, quote it with credit. Do not republish whole articles without permission or lift our photos. Be civil in the comments. We are a magazine, not a professional advisor. Our store runs through MagCloud, so their terms cover purchases.

Agreement

By using dancemogul.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms are between you and Dance Mogul Magazine LLC.

Our Content

Everything on this site — articles, interviews, photographs, layouts, graphics, and the Dance Mogul Magazine name and logo — is owned by Dance Mogul Magazine LLC or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

What you may do

Read it. Share links to it. Quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back to the original article. Print a copy for your own personal use. Teachers and students may cite us in academic work with normal citation.

What you may not do

Republish full articles on another site, in print, or in a newsletter without written permission. Copy our photographs or use them in your own work. Scrape the site or use our content to train machine learning models without a written agreement. Remove credits. Sell our content. Present our work as your own.

Want to Republish an Article?

Often the answer is yes. We provide a syndication package — the formatted article, an attribution banner, and a canonical tag pointing back to dancemogul.com so neither site is penalized for duplicate content. Institutions, campus publications, and artists featured in a piece should ask. Email info@dancemogul.com or see our Press & Media page.

Your Content

If you submit a comment, a pitch, photographs, or any other material, you keep ownership of it. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, publish, edit, and display it in connection with the magazine and its promotion.

You promise that anything you send us is yours to send. If you send a photograph, you must have the right to license it to us and you must tell us the photographer’s name. We will not publish images with unclear rights, and if you supply one that turns out to be someone else’s, that is on you.

Comments and Conduct

Comments are moderated. We remove content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, spam, or that infringes someone’s rights, and we can do so at our discretion without notice. Dance culture is built on respect; the comment section should reflect that.

Editorial Independence

Coverage cannot be purchased. We do not accept payment, gifts, or ticket value in exchange for a story or favorable treatment. Sponsored content, if we run it, is labeled. Our full editorial terms are on the Press & Media page.

Purchases

Our books and magazines are printed, sold, shipped, and refunded by MagCloud under their terms and conditions, not ours. Any question about an order, a shipment, or a refund goes to MagCloud. Some of our store links carry a referral code and may earn us a fee at no extra cost to you — see our Privacy Policy for the full disclosure.

Third-Party Links and Embeds

We link to and embed content from other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices.

No Professional Advice

We publish journalism, interviews, and commentary about dance and the dance business. Nothing here is legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. Dance carries physical risk; training information we publish is editorial, not instruction, and you should work with a qualified teacher and consult a physician before beginning any physical training.

The site is provided as is. We work hard on accuracy, but we do not warrant that everything is error-free, that the site will always be available, or that it is free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dance Mogul Magazine LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, email info@dancemogul.com with a description of the work, the URL of the material, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized. We take this seriously — we are a publication built on other people’s creative work and we credit it.

Changes and Governing Law

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
