Her own YouTube channel is titled Passion (Brianna Grey), and Versa-Style’s alumni page lists her as Brianna “Passion” Grey. That spelling, Brianna with two n’s, is the one she uses herself, so it is the one this file uses. Some coverage has spelled it with one n.

The same sources settle a second question. Versa-Style describes her teaching hip-hop fundamentals in dance studios across Los Angeles, and a Los Angeles studio, Rūts Dance Studio in Koreatown, has promoted her hip-hop fundamentals classes. Her documented base is Los Angeles. Earlier field listings that placed her in the Midwest do not match that record, and Dance Mogul Magazine is correcting its own newsroom to match.

Why does this matter? Because a dancer’s city is part of her story. It tells a reader which scene raised her, where to take her class, and which community her results belong to.

Versa-Style Street Dance Company is a Los Angeles institution: a hip-hop dance company that treats street dance as a culture with history, not just a set of moves. Its alumni page lists Brianna “Passion” Grey as a movement artist who graduated from its VSNG program in 2015.

That training shows in how she describes her own teaching. The Versa-Style entry says she teaches classes in hip-hop fundamentals, the foundational grooves and party dances that everything else in hip-hop is built on. Dancers who come through a program like that learn early that freestyle is not random. It is a vocabulary, and the deeper the vocabulary, the more a dancer can say when an unfamiliar song drops.

The same entry gives the best summary of her competitive record that has been published: “She is a multi-time Red Bull Dance Your Style winner and national finalist.” It comes from the company that trained her, which makes it a strong lead. This file reports the wins it can document directly and treats the rest as her teachers’ summary.

In August 2020, the L.A. Dance Chronicle reviewed two short dance films. One of them, PLAYGROUND, lists Brianna Grey twice: among the dancers in part two, and as its editor, credited as Brianna Grey/Passion Media. Part two was choreographed by Leigh Foaad.

That second credit says something about her. Editing is where a dance film becomes a story: which angle, which beat, how long to hold a shape before the cut. A dancer who edits learns to see movement the way a camera sees it, which is a quiet advantage in a battle format that is now watched as much online as in the room.

It also reflects a pattern among working dancers of her generation. Many of them build a second craft, in film, teaching or production, alongside performance. It makes a career sturdier than any single result can.

In spring 2023, Red Bull Dance Your Style came to Denver, to Summit on Blake Street. 303 Magazine covered the night: dancers from hip-hop, house, waacking and beyond, and a crowd deciding every battle. When it was over, Passion was the winner, and the win sent her to the National Final in Chicago on May 20, 2023.

Her own channel keeps the moment, posted under the title “Red Bull Dance Denver Winner.”

A city win in this format means something specific. There are no judges to impress with difficulty and no set routine to polish. A dancer wins by making a room of strangers choose her, round after round, to music she did not pick. Doing it is a direct test of how clearly her dancing reads.

Hip-hop dance, as a street form, is built on grooves: the bounce and rock that sit on the beat, and a long list of party dances passed from dancer to dancer since the 1980s. Fundamentals classes teach those grooves as a vocabulary, with their names, their feel and where they came from.

In a freestyle battle, that vocabulary is the difference between reacting and communicating. When the DJ drops a track, a dancer with deep fundamentals can find the groove immediately, then build on it: texture, footwork, character, a moment for the crowd. A dancer without them spends the first bars searching.

Results come and go. Teaching is the part of Passion’s career that shows up every week. Versa-Style describes her classes in hip-hop fundamentals across Los Angeles studios, and Rūts Dance Studio in Koreatown has listed her Hip Hop Fundamentals class on its schedule.

Teaching fundamentals is unglamorous work, and it is some of the most important work in dance. It is how the culture is passed on intact: the right names for the grooves, the history behind them, and the feel that makes them hip-hop and not an imitation of it.

It also connects her to the company that trained her. A Versa-Style graduate who returns to the classroom is doing exactly what a program like that exists to produce.

The Red Bull Dance Your Style USA National Final took place on September 19, 2026, at the Tampa Convention Center. Dance Mogul Magazine’s newsroom lists Passion in the announced field.

Red Bull’s official recap names the final eight, and Passion is not among them. JREAMZ won the title over Kidd The Monster, with Lily Frias and Jesse Sykes completing the final four. We have not found a public bracket, clip or dated photo showing her Tampa rounds, so this file does not report a Tampa result.

One claim needs to be handled plainly. An earlier DMM newsroom entry said Passion won the 2026 Midwest regional in Kansas City, with Jesse Sykes as runner-up, citing a Kansas City Star report we have not been able to open. Until that report or an official Red Bull result can be read, Dance Mogul Magazine does not assert it, here or in Jesse Sykes’s profile.

As of late September 2026, the verified public record places Passion in Los Angeles as a hip-hop teacher, with a documented Dance Your Style city title and a place in the announced 2026 national field.
